As an advertiser, you want to be able to decide yourself, beforehand, on which websites your display campaign will run. Adcombi added a new feature that enables you to create your own domain sets with over 600 premium websites from the top publishers in the Netherlands.
Why domain sets
Most advertisers have a good understanding of their target audiences and the websites those audiences visit. A lot of display campaigns are run with a so-called “Run of Network” setup, which means that the algorithm will optimize to websites where it is able to find the most clicks and impressions. Although the “Run of Network” setup will also allow you to advertise on premium websites, chances are that the system doesn’t show your ad on the particular websites you had in mind.
Blacklists and whitelists
In order to run your ad on one or more specific domains, you need to make a whitelist. A whitelist makes sure you will only bid on your hand-picked domains. It is also possible to exclude websites using a blacklist if you don’t want your ad appearing in certain places that don’t match your company values or benefit your campaign.
How domain sets work
Domain sets are super easy to use in adActivate. You’ll find them in your toolbox. Create a new domain set by simply adding the titles you want to include or exclude. When you have created your domain set you can include or exclude it in your campaigns and the system will automatically bid on the chosen websites accordingly. If you update existing domain sets, all campaigns that use it will be updated directly. You can always create new domain sets and review them when needed.
Yet, in order to guarantee a solid delivery of impressions, we recommend you create domain sets of at least 50 different titles.
